Our Honeymoon Adventure

We’ve chosen to write this blog about our honeymoon, not to brag but to INSPIRE. Inspire our couples, our clients, friends, and family, to go out there and adventure! When we told our friends and family about our honeymoon plans they were in awe about what we were about to do. Yup, we traveled the entire country. No big deal, except we DROVE.

We drove the entire country, 10,000+ miles, three weeks, from North Carolina where we got married, as far west as we could go. 20 states later, we couldn’t believe how much our beautiful country had to offer. Let us take you through our road map and share some of our favorite places, in hopes that we too can inspire you to explore this beautiful country!

For those who don’t know us well yet, Alex and I LIVE for adventures and traveling. We went hiking Mount Rainier in four feet of snow, trekked through the waters of the Narrows in Utah, hiked to get an amazing view point of the Golden Gate Bridge, walked through the deserts of Arizona, and so much more.

Here is our path that we suggest everyone to do if you ever get the chance (if you’re from the east coast like us and have never see the other side of the country) :

North Carolina -> Tennessee -> Kentucky -> Illinois -> Missouri -> Kansas -> Colorado -> Wyoming -> Idaho -> Montana -> Washington -> Oregon -> California -> Nevada -> Utah -> Arizona -> New Mexico -> Texas -> Oklahoma -> Arkansas

Amongst these states our favorite must sees are:

  • Colorado: Denver, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Garden of the Gods
  • Wyoming and Montana: Just the drive through the mountains in these two states was amazing
  • Washington: Seattle, Mount Rainier, Olympic National Park
  • Oregon: Driving down the coast
  • California: Redwoods National Forest, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe
  • Nevada: Extraterrestrial Highway
  • Utah: Zion National Park, Hiking the Narrows here is breathtaking
  • Arizona: Grand Canyon, Route 66
  • New Mexico: The famous El Rancho Hotel, Route 66
  • Texas: Cadillac Ranch
  • Oklahoma: Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile

This country has so many beautiful things to see and we hope this blog will inspire you all to go out there and adventure!!
